Open Letter From

From Aaron Fisher (formerly known as Victim 1)
To the World Community via Let Go…Let Peace Come In

Although I experienced great hardship for many years as a victim of child sexual abuse, the support given to me has been awesome!  People from the United States, Europe, and around the world have sent me letters, cards, emails, and in some cases have personally expressed their support for me.  I wish to express my thanks to all those who have helped me through my difficult times.  My family, psychologist, and all of you are the people who provided me so much support.  I specifically want to thank Let Go…Let Peace Come In for both their emotional support and also financial support for treatment services.  In fact, Let Go…Let Peace Come In has funded or subsidized the treatment of multiple victims associated with my case as well as countless other victims of child sexual abuse.

I would like to emphasize that it is very difficult to tell others when you are a victim of sexual abuse.  However, for those of you that have had these experiences, I urge you to seek psychotherapy services.  If you are a younger person, I would urge you to talk to your school guidance counselor, teacher, or other adult friends about your experience and your need for treatment.  Guidance and support are available through organizations like Let Go…Let Peace Come In (www.LetGoLetPeaceComeIn.org).  You do not need to shoulder this trauma yourself.  I would also like to mention that the founder of Let Go…Let Peace Come In, Mr. Peter Pelullo, wrote his story in the autobiography “Betrayal and the Beast, The True Story of One Man’s Journey Through Childhood Sexual Abuse, Sexual Addiction, and Recovery”.  This book is available through the Let Go…Let Peace Come In Foundation.  The book has inspired many to move forward with their recovery.  I also decided to write a book along with my mother and psychologist called “Silent No More, Victim 1’s Fight for Justice Against Jerry Sandusky”.  I believe the book will also inspire other victims to get the help they need to feel good again.

I will continue to work with Let Go…Let Peace Come In to help others as much as I possibly can.  I would also ask others to contribute to the Foundation per all the good works they sponsor.  You can make a difference whether it be emotional support to victims and/or financially supporting an organization such as this.  I will never forget the generosity the people of the world have shown me.  I give thanks to all of you.  Have a wonderful holiday season.
