The past several months since being accepted into group has had an instant and dramatic impact on my life. Not being a stranger to the psychiatrist’s couch, I have gotten more from just several meetings of my peers than I have from decades of therapy. There is something different, more genuine, about being counseled by friends who have been there rather than by a professional. I walk in feeling safe and free of judgement, I walk out feeling like things are OK. After 40 years of torment, I couldn’t ask for more.

As young victims, our normal stages of development have been broken or altered forever. Abuse, more importantly abuse that is untreated, tends to be the root cause for many of our flaws, inadequacies, shortcomings, and addictions. Group brings light to many of our root problems, instantly starting to dis-empower them allowing the healing process to begin.
