When I first started my search for the perfect internship I received a packet of potential organizations that worked with Temple University. I came across multiple jobs that looked interesting. I decided if I was going to spend my time gaining the experience, I wanted it to be worth my time. I soon discovered “Let go…Let Peace Come In”and started to perform research on their non-profit organization. The amount of work LGLPCI does within the community helping survivors was truly amazing. I knew right than and there that this is where I wanted to spend my time. I have loved the experience I have gained here. The staff is super friendly and helpful in every way possible. I have learned a great deal regarding sexual abuse and the structure of non-profit businesses. It has challenged me to think outside the box and I’ve been able to be a support to our clients. Also, I learned the process of web designs, how to properly run a campaign and the benefit of social media.
